Import Requirements of Cats and Dogs in Argentina

Age Of Animal

Puppies and kittens must be 4 months or older.

Puppies and kittens must travel on their own valid rabies vaccination.

Microchip

Microchip implant required before Rabies Vaccination.

Rabies Vaccinations

Rabies vaccination must be at least 30 days old and not older than 1 year prior to departure.

Canine and Feline vaccinations

Annual vaccinations are required and must be older than 30 days and not older than 1 year on arrival.

Dogs: 

Canine Distemper, Infectious Canine Hepatitis, and Canine Parvovirosis (5in1 vaccination)

Cats:

Feline Panleucopaenia (Infectious Enteritis), Feline Respiratory Disease Complex and Feline Leukemia

Health Certificate (Valid for 10 days)

The pets must be accompanied by a health certificate issued by a private veterinarian certifying compliance with the above requirements endorsed by the Chief State Vet.

Certificate is valid for 10 days from date of issue.

Import Permit

Not required.
